Lie to Me's season finale, 'Killer App', though somewhat uninspired, leaves us on a good note with all the characters, making us anticipate season four.
The plotline is no huge deviation from the 'Lie to Me' formula. Per TV.com, "Lightman investigates Zach Morstein, the creator of a social networking site who becomes a murder suspect when one of the co-founders ends up dead, after expressing to Gill she is being extorted by her partner."
What is interesting about the episode, and what makes us eagerly await season four, is the further development of some of the main characters. Mainly, Gillian experiences incomparable grief; Emily figures out what she doesn't want in her life; Cal opens up in a touching moment of honesty with his daughter.
The ending also provides a slight amount of twist, when Lightman finally outsmarts the self-styled genius Morstein.
All in all, it was a great episode and leaves me in anticipation as to how the next season will play out.
Lie to Me's season 3 finale, Killer App, was rated as 9.4 on tv.com.
